It’s quite a tricky one… You need to get into the issue of what a miracle is.
An atheist might say that if God really cared about us he would intervene in our lives more often and so “miracles” would happen all the time. (Is this a reasonable position?)
A believer could argue that miracles would cease to be miraculous if they happened all the time. God isn’t some kind of heavenly Father Christmas who does whatever we ask of him.
This whole thing relates strongly to the problem of evil – why does God let us suffer? Shouldn’t God intervene more often?
