Internet Safety

Thursday, May 13th, 2010

We’re spending some time thinking about staying safe and to start with we’re going to think about using technology safely. That means safe use of:

  • Internet searching
  • Mobile phones
  • Facebook
  • Online games

We have a few weeks to create a booklet of advice for someone your age telling them about how to make safe use of technology.

Your booklet could include:

  • Tips and Advice on use of technology
  • Information about where to get help
  • Ideas for things to check out
  • Stuff about cyber-bullying
  • Pictures

I would like it done using Publisher please!

Here are two websites with lots of advice to get you started:

Manifestos

Friday, October 23rd, 2009

When it is time to vote politicians create a “Manifesto”. This is a piece of writing that explains who the person is and what they will do if they get into power.

Your task is to think about what you would do if you ran the country and create your own personal manifesto to explain it.

  • Download the manifesto template
  • Fill it in with your own ideas
  • Print it out and stick it in your book
