		<description>Thanks for the comment. We were trying to look at the way in which the pictures suggest that Jesus was more than just a human being.

For example, in the Rubens (the top one) everyone else is being drawn towards Jesus who is the focus of the painting. Also, the wise men who are visiting are lower in the painting than Jesus, suggesting that the baby Jesus is more important than the wise men. Obviously the angels suggest something too!

You can also look at the light. It appears that the people in the middle of the painting are being lit by light coming from Jesus himself - this means that Jesus is the "light of the world".

In the Botticelli picture again Jesus is right at the centre. You might also notice that Jesus, Mary and Joseph are all painted bigger than everyone else. There are also lots of angels, and 3 crowns coming down from heaven for the family.

All of these things are the artist's way of showing that Jesus is no normal baby. They all point to Jesus being the "son of God". Can you see any more details that might say this?
